My Testimony

The main thing that has pushed me onto serving a mission is my testimony.  I know that this church is true and that Joseph Smith was visited by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the sacred grove and that through him they restored the true church that had been on the Earth during Christ's ministry.  I know that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God and that Joseph Smith translated it with God's power and that by reading it and living what is taught in it, we can get closer to God.  I know that the priesthood was restored to the Earth and that it is the power of God used on the Earth and that President Monson holds this priesthood and uses it to preside over Christ's church in these latter days.  I know that Christ died for us and that through his Atonement, we can be cleansed and forgiven for our sins and be able to live with God again.  I know that anyone can gain a true testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its doctrine by living it and searching to know if it is true for themselves.  I know that I am supposed to go on a mission to serve the people of Nagoya Japan and can't wait to share my testimony with others and grow by doing so out in the mission field.
